Sura (Vijay) lives in a fishing village where everyone likes him. His dream is to build houses for all the villagers as all the houses got wiped out it small tsunami. Samudra Rajan (Dev Gill) is attempting to take over the land and tries to kill Sura twice. Sura fights and defeats Rajan. Meanwhile, Poornima (Tamannaah) falls in love with Sura and she forces Umbrella (Vadivelu) to tell Sura that she loves him. Umbrella also gets into lots of trouble causing a lot comedy. The rest of the movie, Umbrella, Sura and Poornima gather together to get to the land back, and build houses for all the villagers with a fight in a boat at the end.
